ORDINANCE 2021-23

An Ordinance of the City of Hazleton Fixing the Tax Rate of Real Estate Located in the City of Hazleton, Pennsylvania, for All City Purposes for the Fiscal Year 2022, Beginning January 1, 2022 and Ending December 31, 2022

BE IT ORDAINED AND ENACTED by the Council of the City of Hazleton:

SECTION 1. The tax rate total of Six and Seventy-eight hundredths (6.78) mills is hereby levied on all persons owning property within the City of Hazleton, Pennsylvania and subject to taxation for City purposes for the fiscal year 2022, beginning January 1, 2022 and ending December 31, 2022, as follows:

  1. For Debt Service: Twenty-one hundredths (.21) of a mill on all real estate however classified pursuant to 11 Pa.C.S. §12531(a)(2)).
  2. For Recreation: Nineteen hundredths (.19) of a mill on all real estate however classified pursuant to11 Pa.C.S. §12531(a)(4).
  3. For General Revenue Purposes: Six and Thirty-eight hundredths (6.38) mills on real estate classified as land, and on real estate classified as buildings on land pursuant to 11 Pa.C.S. §12531(a)(1).
