The Right-to-Know Law became effective on January 1, 2009. This law, in its entirety, can be found on the Pennsylvania Office of Open Records website.

Requests must be made in writing on the approved Right-to-Know form, and sent by e-mail, fax, regular mail, or delivered in person. No verbal requests will be accepted. A request should describe or identify the records sought with enough specificity to enable the Open Records Officer to ascertain which records are being requested.

The cost for copies of records $0.25 per page, plus the cost of postage. The cost to scan paper copies for the purpose of emailing a response is $0.15 per page. The cost to certify a record will be $5.00 per record, plus the cost of postage. All applicable fees must be paid in order to receive access to the records requested. An estimated fee of over $100.00 must be prepaid.

All Right-to-Know requests must be submitted on the approved form below. The forms may be submitted by regular mail, email, fax or in person. If you have problems downloading the forms, please contact the Open Records Officer listed above and a form will be mailed to you for completion.

Failure to pay invoices for records/documents in response to Right-to-Know requests will result in the immediate denial of any future Right-to-Know requests until payment of any outstanding invoices are made in full.
